Dawn's return

Well, it's been a week and my Dawn is finally coming home. What a tiring week!!! Ian and I had fun though. He got to stay at Grandma's for the week with his cousins. He had such a good time. He was quite tired everyday though - so much playing. He and I went to Disneyland yesterday as well. Actually, went to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. How's that for a lucky little guy! Bought him this really cool little Mickey car. He and I got to play with it today in the front room. Went and bought him 2 new DVDs today - couldn't go wrong for the $8.99 price. He got Mulan and Three Muskateers (Mickey version, of course).

Very happy Dawn is on her way home though. As much as I love taking care of my little guy, it's very tiring, especially leaving at 6AM and not getting home till 6PM (on day's we actually went right home). Well, enough rambling for now. Type at you later....

West Indian Girl

West Indian Girl Ok, so tonight Ian and I were driving home from Disneyland and 94.9 FM played this song that sooo caught my attention. Now, anyone that knows me, knows that that happens less and less with the new music coming out these days. Well, for some reason this song just reminded me of Three Days by Janes Addiciton. Not that it sounds entirely like that, but, it reminds me of it. And, I consider that a HUGE compliment. Well, got home and thought I'd look into who it was. Found on FM 94.9's website that it is a band called West Indian Girl. Figured, thats an interesting name for a band. Then, googled and found their website. Good name for the band ;)

Think I'll have to look into this band some more - they're playing a few shows coming up and would be cool to see.

tsunami

about 10 mintues ago they issued a tsunami warning in all of orange county. not exactly a good feeling being this close to the beach. but, i've been watching the news and luckily the usgs just went on record saying there is now officially no risk of tsunami. whoo... i really didn't need that........

so today i've just been tired. got a lot of sleep this weekend, even slept in till 10AM on saturday... haven't done that in a looooong time. but then last night i just couldn't
so, if i haven't posted this before, i got a promotion. quite happy about this. now though, i get to do two jobs for the time being. that part kinda bites, but i expected it. the new job will be great once i'm doing it full time.

tonight dawn went out on a meetup. i'm quite happy she goes - it's good for her to get out. i will probably go out one night this week, not sure what night, but i think i will. hopefully buy a bag for the new powerbook soon and start maybe taking it to class at the apple store, or maybe go to an apple user group meetup. that may be interesting.

i haven't really typed randomness for a while... i'll talk at you again soon

Ok, so I have finally made the switch. The other day I bought a 17" Powerbook. Seriously,,,, amazing.. Don't know why I bothered with Windows for so long. Still getting used to the OS, but, the more I sit here using it, the more I realize how clunky Windoze was... Still have to use that at work but oh well.

Regarding the powerbook, I got such a good deal on it I just couldn't say no. (thanks to a good friend)
