The Buddhist Channel | News - Asia | Nepal to probe mystery 'Buddha' boy

KATHMANDU, Nepal -- Authorities in Nepal urged religious groups and scientists on Sunday to help solve the mystery of a meditating teenaged boy who some believe is an incarnation of Buddha.

His mother, Maya Devi – the same name as that of Buddha's mother – said Bamjon, the third of her seven children, is a quiet boy who kept aloof from friends.

This is quite interesting. Hopefully there is follow up information.

Wired News: Nanotubes Blast Cancer Cells

"Balaji Panchapakesan likes to leave innocuous packages lying around, then detonate them remotely, killing any victims who are near the blast. No, he's not an Iraqi insurgent -- he's an engineering professor at the University of Delaware, and his bombs are carbon nanotubes. His explosions are on the nanoscale, and his victims are cancer cells. His idea that nanobombs can fight cancer in a cell-by-cell war of attrition has been effective in petri dishes."

While reading this I am reminded of the documentary 'No Maps For These Territories' about William Gibson. One of the discussions he holds is about nano tech; including the possibilities of making anything out of anything, and living forever. If you have not seen the movie - I highly recommend it. http://www.nomaps.com/
