mondayyyy

it's monday.

had a great weekend. mom stayed with us on friday. went to a carnival with the little man and his cousins on saturday, then finally got to see my (pregnant) sister for dinner. sunday was awesome. got to give my love her momma's day book ('made on a mac' thank you very much) which, i believe she completely loved. had so much fun creating it, i know many more will be created. went and saw the mummy exhibit at bower's as well, so interesting.

today is a good day so far. have a lot to accomplish this week, but, somehow i know i will. no worries.

buddha's bday celebration this weekend; quite honored that i get to participate in the ceremony sunday.

found a new file for my underworld obsession.... they played live on dirty.org and some lovely person archived it as mp3. it's amazing, but, then again everything they do is...

also, got tickets to see the upcoming (september) massive attack show... oi! can't wait.....

have a great week.

been a while

so, it's really been a while (again) since I've posted.

yes, I've just been way too busy with everything. iWork, iHome, iLife. sorry, couldn't help the mac reference. Funny tho, I used to always tease my friend Matt about running a mac,,, now i'm a convert... yes, i can see the irony in it. but hey, what can ya do? :)

This weekend was awesome. Ian and I went to the UCLA book festival for a couple hours, then he went to Grandma's house and spent the night. (Dawn went to Coachella to see DM) Then, Sunday I went back and helped the Buddha's Light Publishing booth all day. Had an absolute blast. We really had a good turnout, a lot of interest in Buddhism.

So looking forward to this weekend, well, Friday to be exact. We're taking little man to see Thomas!!! Holy crap is he going to be excited! hahahahaha

San Francisco in Jell-O

this is great!!!!!

A friend sent me this...

This is hilarious. My friend said he first read it years ago and believes it was actually someone's college application. Brilliant....

==================================

I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees, I write award-winning operas, I manage time efficiently. Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row.

I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing, I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook Thirty-Minute Brownies in twenty minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru.

Using only a hoe and a large glass of water, I once single-handedly defended a small village in the Amazon Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants. I play bluegrass cello, I was scouted by the Mets, I am the subject of numerous documentaries. When I'm bored, I build large suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy urban hang gliding. On Wednesdays, after work, I repair electrical appliances free of charge.

I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, and a ruthless bookie. Critics worldwide swoon over my original line of corduroy evening wear. I don't perspire. I am a private citizen, yet I receive fan mail. I have been caller number nine and have won the weekend passes. Last summer I toured New Jersey with a traveling centrifugal-force demonstration. I bat 400. My deft floral arrangements have earned me fame in international botany circles. Children trust me.

I can hurl tennis rackets at small moving objects with deadly accuracy. I once read Paradise Lost, Moby Dick, and David Copperfield in one day and still had time to refurbish an entire dining room that evening. I know the exact location of every food item in the supermarket. I have performed several covert operations for the CIA. I sleep once a week; when I do sleep, I sleep in a chair. While on vacation in Canada, I successfully negotiated with a group of terrorists who had seized a small bakery. The laws of physics do not apply to me.

I balance, I weave, I dodge, I frolic, and my bills are all paid. On weekends, to let off steam, I participate in full-contact origami. Years ago I discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down. I have made extraordinary four course meals using only a mouli and a toaster oven. I breed prizewinning clams. I have won bullfights in San Juan, cliff-diving competitions in Sri Lanka, and spelling bees at the Kremlin. I have played Hamlet, I have performed open-heart surgery, and I have spoken with Elvis.

'intelligent design' ruled unintelligent

Finally, a judge that uses his intelligence in deciding these cases.

"We have concluded that it is not [science], and moreover that ID cannot uncouple itself from its creationist, and thus religious, antecedents," Jones writes in his 139-page opinion posted on the court's Web site.

well said.
