Taking Precepts

So I spent last weekend at Hsi Lai temple, Friday afternoon through Sunday, for the Bodhisattva Precepts ceremony. I had been thinking about this for a long time and decided that I would go ahead with it now. In a nutshell, you can say I vowed to live my life for others. At first I thought, well, ya, I can do this, I do live for my wife and son, so that is part of the Bodhisattva path. But then, the more I thought about it, the less I could see it honestly being any different from being on the Buddhist path for my life.....
